Folks I'm lucky to know.

One of my biggest joys of the past weekend at the NRA Convention was being able to put my arm around this gentleman and announce to Alan Gura*, "See this guy, right here? HE's the man."

And, you know what? Anyone who has ever met him would say the same.

*yes, that Alan Gura

He IS the man, and damn if he didn't have one NICE 1911 on his hip too!

How one short, chubby former Sailor has been able to gain so much power and influence, I do not know. But if one needs a Role Model, be hard to beat oldNFO.

Mom and I had the pleasure of talking to him for about half an hour Saturday afternoon - the epitome of "good folks".

Do you know that I happen to own a pistol previously owned by the one and only OldNFO? And yes, you are absolutely right. My life is better for knowing the man.
