a day late, but

before you Italians (and for that matter, Norse-types) continue to congratulate yourselves, I just wanted to point out that the New World was most likely discovered by an Irishman.

This is awesome, as I'm both Irish and Swedish in heritage. Also, anyone else familiar with the theory of the Mandan Indians being Welsh?

I thought it was discovered and occupied by some south east Asians 60,000 years ago.

Come to think of it, yeah, there were people here! Maybe we always knew it was there, Columbus was just the first one dumb enough to blab it to a monarchy...
