a day late, but
before you Italians (and for that matter, Norse-types) continue to congratulate yourselves, I just wanted to point out that the New World was most likely discovered by an Irishman.

And he was too drunk on Jameson to know where he was or to tell anyone about it. :P
Was he wearing pants?
This is awesome, as I'm both Irish and Swedish in heritage. Also, anyone else familiar with the theory of the Mandan Indians being Welsh?
I thought it was discovered and occupied by some south east Asians 60,000 years ago.
Come to think of it, yeah, there were people here! Maybe we always knew it was there, Columbus was just the first one dumb enough to blab it to a monarchy...
Your jealousy is so transparent.
Come on, Jay, the Irish don't need to be jealous. Sooner or later, we get the slums that other people get tired of! Check out Butte, MT sometime!
And here I thought that is what St. Patrick's day was all about!
= )
You want two days a year to dring do ya?
SayUncle, i thought they were from a more...northerly...area of Asia?
Yeah, it just goes to show you what can happen if one doesn't maintain control over one's Borders. ; )
