finally!

Did you feel it this morning? Something a little different about the world?

I got up this morning and found Myra wide awake and raring to go.

(Try out photobucket's new photo editing - Myra looks awesome as a cartoon!)

So spring has definitely arrived. No doubt about it this time. Yes, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping outside the window but I have someone who knows for sure.

I suppose Myra knows her business! Taking the doglet to the dogpark today. Wheeee!

So your turtle hibernates, then? That's kind of cool. What type of turtle is she?

Have fun Phlegmmy!

Squeaky - Myra (an eastern box turtle) kind of half-hibernates. She'll get up, drink some water, ignore her food, walk around for a minute and then go back to sleep - and shoot me dirty looks and hiss at me if I pester her too much.

Hahah...nice.

Myra must not be a winter turtle. Cranky. Heh. How big is she?

ride fast - she's not big. Her shell circumference is about the same size as the palm of a man's hand.
