while you're waiting...

I've got a little case of writer's block ...and "block" is certainly the perfect word for what's happening in my brain today. Thoughts and ideas are just roiling around in my head but they're not quite able to get to my fingers and then to the keyboard, not yet. So I'm going to go outside in the garden and think some more, but in the meantime I'd like you to meet Fae.*

At perhaps 4 or 5 pounds, Fae is our tiniest cat, and littermate to Oona and Desmond. She is very shy, and stays mostly upstairs, out of the way of the rowdy boy cats. But she charms us mercilessly when we venture into her domain - trotting around, tail up, demanding to be petted on the bed...no, no, on the bathmat...no! on the papsan chair! She likes it when we follow her around, longing for her attention. And, as is only appropriate, we feel blessed when Fae deigns to sit on our laps.

Fae knows that when Mike is home in the morning making coffee, it is Saturday and she'll come downstairs, braving the other cats for a smidgen of half-n-half. She sasses us if we dare forget.

likes: half-n-half, tuna, laser pointer games in the basement, bossing around the big male human servant, sleeping in the window sill, microfleece blankets

dislikes: strangers, rowdy boy cats, interruptions while getting petted

* not the hurricane that the media hoped for but wasn't

Cat blogging... I approve!

I feel an obligation to our brethren on dial-up to point out that you have taken full-size pictures and merely told the browser to size them down. What you end up with is a thumbnail-size image that is a quarter-megabyte in size. If you'd like some help correcting that, I can assist.

She's almost as little as Loki !

TBolt - you haven't been paying attention, have you?

Jeffrey - at least they're not retarded assholes, like Rachel's dogs are.

Toni - she's teeny weeny!

Phlegmmy - I had to fix my comment. I know a sweet little Praline who is not retarded or and asshole. I love her new pink collar

Can your cats do that Zen cat thing where they just materialize out of thin air? It's quite impressive, and while I love dogs, too, I've NEVER seen a dog do this.

Debi - Yes, they do! In our house, we refer to this phenomenon as the "kitty transporter"

Awww, I thought you GOT that one already. I was hoping you were trying to pick between the Mosin Nagant M44 and a Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk 1, or something.

Violet - you obviously have great taste!

TBolt - being a librarian is practically charity work.

Yes. But a 10/22 costs more than either of those rifles....

Surplus ammo can be purty cheap too.

Ah, a pro-kitteh post. Rachl Lukis and her minions are on a roll. I was sorely outnumbered over there.

Can I just sit here for a few minutes?

anonymous - there's lots of kitty related stuff here. Sit back, relax, enjoy!
