thanks, Mom

Besides a legendary pan of brownies - and general chocolate fetish - that my mother had while pregnant with me, there is a story about her sitting down one morning and eating an entire pound of bacon by herself.

Turns out that not only was she satisfying her cravings (which I've noticed have yet to subside, even 35 years later) but it seems she was doing the little Breda brain a favor.

She's a smart, smart woman, a trait which was definitely passed along...

Now, did you get your fondness for beer from mom, too?

Epic. Perhaps I'll have some bacon then, just in case its heritable or something.

Is your header supposed to look like bacon? Because now the red-and-white stripes totally make me think of bacon.

Of course her cravings haven't subsided Breda. No one can resist bacon.
