Since not all of my readers are friends with me on Facebook and even less follow me on the iPhone app* (& because no one has come out with a compatible Blogger sidebar widget yet) I figured I'd share my Instagram photos on my blog.

A preying praying mantis, found in an alleyway in downtown Willoughby. Such an aggressive predator, it would wave its arms menacingly at me when I got too close, ready to fight. I'd never seen one in real life before so I had to risk it. And I've got to say that it's a little unnerving when an insect is large enough that you can make eye contact with it.
